The Color Throwdown #501 | Wild Soul

Hi Everyone!

I'm joining the The Color Throwdown for the first time, I really love the colors!

I used an older stamp from my stash called Wild Soul from Andrea Gomoll. I love coloring stamps like this.

I started my card by stamping the image on #80 Neenah Solar white cardstock with a copic friendly black ink. I masked the image off to do some ink blending. I used Squeezed Lemonade and Wild Honey distress oxide and the Nesting Hexagon stencil from Neat and Tangled. I used Squeezed Lemonade first and then Wild Honey. Then I removed the stencil and went back over the stenciled area again lightly with Squeezed Lemonade to fill it in a little bit. Then I removed the mask and colored her with Copic markers.

After I finished coloring I used a stitched rectangle die to trim down the paper. I adhered two mats to my card base that are in the color palette, then adhered the top panel on #110 Neenah Solar White cardstock. I then stamped the sentiment with Vintage Photo distress oxide.

I finished off my card by adding the Tonic Shimmer Pen, enamel dots and Glossy Accents. I really enjoyed this challenge!

Here's a close up of my card.

Thanks so much for stopping by today,
Lori
