A Witches Brew | Halloween Challenge #33

Welcome to week two of the DoubleClick Skittles Halloween Challenge!
This is challenge #33 and our Skittles are called Witches Brew, in orange, purple, and green.

This week I created a witch being brewed in her cauldron, looks like she didn't get a treat this time!

So I brewed my card by using lavender cardstock, and coordinating paper. I used my Cricut Explore to cut my images out. I figured why not have my witch being brewed since our Skittles are called Witches Brew! I used the purple (witch) on the spider web. I used the orange (pumpkin) and green (frog legs) on and around the cauldron as bubbles popping out from her being brewed. I really had fun making this card.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed my card. Stop by DoubleClick Connections blog and see what the design team has created this week. Also join in our challenge and have a chance to win a fun prize!

Boo to You! | Halloween | Guest Designing Today

Hi Everyone,
It's me Lori from Lori's Crafty Spot. Some of you may know me from Facebook and IG because I totally way over post. hehe! But if not, I will tell you a little bit about myself. I'm new to being a SAHW, I was previously running a small daycare in my home for the past eight years. I have a wonderful hubby, four grown children, and two grand kids. I've always loved to craft, paint, draw, and take pictures of everything in my life. So, a few years ago I purchased a Cricut machine and a cuttlebug and became hooked on crafts even more so. Last year I purchased the Cricut Explore (LOVE) and gave my mother n law my old Cricut and ALL the carts! Now she can get the fever too! lol

Moving along now...
So, I'm guest designing at DoubleClick Connections blog, and can I tell you I'm way over the moon about it! I am in love with the Skittle Dew Drops! I want them all!

The new Skittles are called Witches Brew in Pumpkin, Frog, and Witch.

This week the theme is Halloween, so here is my creation using the Witches Brew Skittles.

This is an A2 sized card, haunted house cut with my Cricut Explore. The background is different distressed ink blending. Then the fun part, I used the Witch Skittles as spiders. I drew a line for the spider webs from the house and glued the spider (skittles) and drew the legs. At the bottom I stacked three Pumpkin Skittles to use as pumpkins, cut tiny pieces of green cardstock for the stems. Added a Boo to you sentiment, drew in the eyes there, the stars in the sky are sequins I've had forever and the moon is a one inch circle die cut and ink distressed, and the ghost is a brad that I cut the prongs off and added dimensional adhesive to.

This concludes my Haunted House with the Witches Brew today! I hope you enjoyed my card! Make sure to visit the DT and see their awesome creations as well. And don't for get to join the challenge!

Thanks so much for stopping by, and I totally heart comments! :)

Challenge Me Monday #134

The FCCB Challenge this week is Black & Orange.
I made a Halloween card for the challenge.

This is an A2 card using Cricut papers and Bazzil cardstock.
I used the Cricut Mini Monsters Cart for the tree, added dimentionals and tied vintage baker's twine around the trunk. I used a one inch punch for the leaves and K. Andrew Art Stamps for the sentiment.
The inside says Happy Halloween.

Thanks for stopping by,
Lori

Hello Kitty Batty Party Favors

Halloween Party favors I made for my daycare children.
These were made from Bazzill cardstock & Swiss Dots at 2 1/2 inches from the Hello Kitty Cart.
All cardstock was scrap paper! Yay!
The eyes and nose is the Martha Stewart glitter pink and silver.
I used my Tim Holtz stapler to staple the sixlets candies to the bats.

Candy Pirate Monsters | Link Up Love Party with K. Andrew

I made these Candy Pirate Monsters for my daycare kids' Halloween party and my grandson's birthday party. I was so inspired by Jean's Crafty Corner and knew these would be a hit with the children.

I used the Mini Monsters cart set at 5 1/2 inches.
All cardstock from Bazzill.
On page 43 I cut the <Argh> in black.
Next I cut on <Argh> Layer 1 in different colors.
For the teeth I traced from the template left from the Pirate Treat Boxes I made for my grandson's birthday party at 3inches long.
Added a googly eye and a doodle for glare.
The candy is a mini Hershey's.

I'm linking this up with K.Andrew's Link Up Love Party. I haven't done this in awhile, but it sure is a lot of fun! The idea of the link up party is a way to show off your creations and find new bloggy friends and new inspiration.
