May Mini Release | Kitty Cat Extras Die Set | Whimsy Stamps

Hello Crafty Friends!

Whimsy Stamps has another mini release that's available now!

Check out the design team inspiration below!

Don't you just love it!

Today I have two cards to share! I'll be using the fish bowl from the new Kitty Cat Extras Die Set along with some previously released dies and stamps!

My cards are both A2 sized top folding using #100 white cardstock. The card panels are both stamped in a peach color ink using the Criss Cross Gingham Background Rubber Stamp and the largest die from the Rounded Rectangles Die Set and adhered to the card base using liquid glue.

I then die cut two of the fish bowls to stamp my images in using black Copic safe ink because I colored everything with Copic markers. I stamped the fish from the Best Fishes stamp set, on the right then used masking paper to masked her off. Then I stamped the fish on the left and masked him off along with some bubbles. I wanted the fish in the foreground. I then stamped the seaweed and the ocean floor from the Mermaid Escape stamp set, then removed the masks. So basically I'm creating a small ocean in a fish bowl.

After coloring I stamped the sentiment You & Me from the Goth Doll Girl stamp set. I added shimmer with a Nuvo Shimmer pen, white highlights with a Gelly Roll pen, acrylic bubbles and Glossy Accents to their eyes and the stamped bubbles.

For this card I created it basically the same way, using the same stamp sets and fish bowl die. I stamped my images with Copic safe ink and masked off one of the sea weeds. I removed the mask and colored all the images with my Copic markers. I added shimmer, Glossy accents, white highlights, and acrylic bubbles. The only difference is the sentiment. I heat embossed the sentiment Birthday Fishes! from the Best Fishes stamp set on a black strip and popped it up with foam tape.

And that completes my cards for today, I hope you like them!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Have a great day!

Hoggy Birthday | Whimsy Stamps

Happy Wednesday Crafty Friends!
I hope all is well with you and your family.

I have another piggy card today using the Hogs and Kisses stamp set along with the new Nested Hexagon Die Set and new Criss Cross Gingham Background Rubber stamp! OMGoodness this little piggy couple is too cute!

I began my card by stamping the images on #80 Neenah Cardstock with black Copic friendly ink. Then cut them out with my Brother Scan N Cut and colored the images with Copic markers.

I stamped the Gingham Background on to a pink cardstock using a darker shade of pink ink, then used a rectangle die from my stash to die cut the panel slightly smaller than the card base. I used the second largest Nested Hexagon and die cut a piece of white cardstock. Now it's time to assemble the card.

I adhered the Gingham Background with liquid glue to a top folding white A2 sized card base. I stamped the sentiment Hogs and Kisses to the hexagon panel, wrapped white bakers twine around it, tied a bow, then popped it up on foam tape and adhered it to the gingham panel. I popped the pigs up with foam tape as well and adhered it to the hexagon panel.

To finish the card I added gems and white highlights with a Gelly Roll pen. I had an extra pig left over so I adhered him to the inside of the card.

And that's my card for today, I hoped you like it!

Hogs and Kisses | Miss U | Whimsy Stamps

Happy Saturday Everyone!

I have another card today using the March release Hogs and Kisses stamp set! These hogs are so adorable and I really enjoyed coloring them.

Isn't he just so sweet! He looks so sad in this image which I thought was perfect for the Miss U sentiment I stamped in the heart. There is also a Love U sentiment that can be stamped in the heart as well.

Also from the March release I used the new Criss Cross Gingham Background rubber stamp for my card. I stamped it in a pink ink on a slightly smaller panel than my card base. Then I used the Shaker Maker Banner die and die cut two of the banners, one large and one small. The smallest one for my little hog to sit on.

I stamped the little hog with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on to #80 Neenah Solar white cardstock, then stamped the sentiment Miss U in the heart. I cut the image out with my Brother Scan N Cut and  colored him with Copic markers. I used liquid glue to adhere the hog to the smallest banner. I adhered the Criss Cross Gingham background panel to an A2 sized card base, then adhered the largest banner on top. I popped up the smallest banner with my little hog on it with foam squares and adhered it to the smaller banner.

I made a bow out of white baker's twine and added a mini clothes pin and adhered it with liquid glue on the small banner. I love using embellishments like this, it's just so fun! Then I added iridescent gems for some pretty bling, shimmer on the heart with a Nuvo Shimmer pen, and white highlights with a Gelly Roll pen.

For the inside I stamped the hog with the xoxo banner, I thought this went well continuing the banner theme to the inside of my card. Then I stamped the sentiment Sending You Hogs and Kisses. Love!

And that's my card for today, I hope you like it as much as I do!
