Hoggy Birthday | Whimsy Stamps

Happy Wednesday Crafty Friends!
I hope all is well with you and your family.

I have another piggy card today using the Hogs and Kisses stamp set along with the new Nested Hexagon Die Set and new Criss Cross Gingham Background Rubber stamp! OMGoodness this little piggy couple is too cute!

I began my card by stamping the images on #80 Neenah Cardstock with black Copic friendly ink. Then cut them out with my Brother Scan N Cut and colored the images with Copic markers.

I stamped the Gingham Background on to a pink cardstock using a darker shade of pink ink, then used a rectangle die from my stash to die cut the panel slightly smaller than the card base. I used the second largest Nested Hexagon and die cut a piece of white cardstock. Now it's time to assemble the card.

I adhered the Gingham Background with liquid glue to a top folding white A2 sized card base. I stamped the sentiment Hogs and Kisses to the hexagon panel, wrapped white bakers twine around it, tied a bow, then popped it up on foam tape and adhered it to the gingham panel. I popped the pigs up with foam tape as well and adhered it to the hexagon panel.

To finish the card I added gems and white highlights with a Gelly Roll pen. I had an extra pig left over so I adhered him to the inside of the card.

And that's my card for today, I hoped you like it!

Hogs and Kisses | Whimsy Stamps March Release

Hello crafty friends and welcome back to my blog!

Today I'm sharing a shaped card from the new March Release Hogs and Kisses along with the new Hexagon Nested Die Set and the new Criss Cross Gingham Background Rubber stamp! I fell in love with these cute little pigs, and these Hexagon dies are going to be so fun to use on cards and other projects! The background stamp is just so beautiful, I think it speaks for itself!

To begin my card I die cut from pink cardstock two of the largest hexagon shapes, two green panels from the next size, and two white to make my shaped card. I used the Criss Cross Gingham background to stamp the green panel in a light green ink. Then I stamped my images in a Copic safe black ink on #80 Neenah Solar White cardstock and cut the images out with my Brother Scan n Cut.

I colored my images with greens and yellow red Copic markers. I then stamped the sentiment sending you Hogs and Kisses from the stamp set in the same light green ink used with the background stamp.

I then adhered all my card panels to the inside and out of the card.

I scored the inside pink base of my card with my Scor-Pal Tool near the top, added a strip of Scor-Tape to adhere the two pieces forming a shaped card.

I adhered pink and green thread to the back of the balloons with washi tape, connecting to the back of the pigs adhering washi tape to secure the thread in place. Then popped both images up with foam tape. I also used a couple of warm gray Copics to add a shadow under the pigs.

Then the final image was this cute little pig holding a xoxo banner, I added him to the inside of the card.

To complete the card I added white highlights with a Gelly Roll pen, shimmer with a Nuvo Shimmer pen, Glossy Accents on the balloons, the heart and to her bow, and added acrylic bubbles!

I adore this card and it was so fun to create!
