DoubleClick Skittles Challenge Week 2 | Thanksgiving or Thank you

Hello everyone! Today we are in week 2 of the
DoubleClick Skittles Challenge. The theme is Thanksgiving or Thank you.

This week I made a Thank You card that I will be giving to my sister.

I haven't water colored in a while, and I felt the urge to do so. I used distress ink in Fossilized Amber, Carved Pumpkin, Rusty Hinge, and Festive Berries.

I used Pumpkin Skittles, baker's twine, and sequins for embellishments.

I used the Versafine blank onyx for the bold black look, and to watercolor so that my black ink would not smear. I also used masking paper for the layering of the leaves. This card was so much fun!

Come join the fun at the DoubleClick Skittles Challenge and see what the DT has created. Create a project following the theme Thanksgiving or Thank You, add your Skittles to your project. If you don't have any Skittles, you can still play along.
Also Carri always has a fantastic prize to giveaway!

Thankful Banner | DoubleClick Skittles Challenge #35

Welcome to week #35 of DoubleClick Skittles Challenge! This week's theme is about Thanksgiving!

I really wanted to make a banner to hang on the wall, but then I decided to go for something a little smaller. I made an accordion style banner that could stand on a shelf on my hutch in the dining room. Then after Thanksgiving it would be easy enough to store.

Mostly for the banner I was able to use scrap cardstock. Except for the base of the banner, I needed a full sheet of cardstock.

I stamped different colored leaves and added to the banner. I used orange and yellow Skittles to match.
Tied the top with gold ribbon and baker's twine. Added faux stitching to the letters to pop them out!

I made my banner with my Cricut Explore.
I went into my images and found a tag I liked, copy and pasted it eight times. I sized them to approximately 3.75, then I welded the first four tags together. The second four before I welded, I needed a tab to attach to the other four to attach the two pieces together. I found a rectangle image, sized it appropriately, and welded my last four tags with the rectangle. The (rectangle) tab will be need adhesive to attach the two, together. I used the red strip tacky tape,
I also made eight tags at 3.5 and eight at 3.25 to layer.
The letters were cut at 2.5. Some trimming was needed. I hope this makes sense if you are wanting to make this. Email me if more directions are needed.

Turkey Lurkey Cupcake Toppers

I made these Turkey Cupcake Toppers using the Create a Critter cart.
It measures 3.5 x 3 inches.
I used the Vintage Baker's Twine from My Craft Spot around his hat, added googly eyes and a little doodling.

I attached a tooth pick on the back and a one inch punched circle.
