Happy Easter | Whimsy Stamps

Hello Everyone and Happy Easter!

I have a bright and colorful Easter card today featuring the new Eggsta Special stamp set and the new Springs Bunnies along with the Hoppy Spring stamp set and the Wonky Stitched Rectangle Die!

I began my card by die cutting a piece of #80 Neenah Solar White cardstock with the Wonky Stitched Rectangle die. Then I stamped the egg images from the Eggsta Special stamp set on the card panel and masked it with masking paper. I ink blended a sky with Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean distress oxides and the grass with Twisted Citron and Lucky Clover and leaving a white space. I stamped more images using the Spring Bunnies and and Hoppy Spring stamp sets and die cut them out with their coordinating dies. I die cut the grass die from the No See All Seasons Die Set from green cardstock and ink blended the bottom with Shabby Shutters distress oxide ink. Then I colored the Eggs on my card panel and the other images with Copic markers.

I arranged all of the images on the card panel with a combination of liquid glue and foam tape. I stamped the sentiment Happy Easter on the card panel twice and the second time my panel shifted in  my Misti, So instead of throwing all of that work away I stamped the sentiment again and trimmed them to strips and popped them up with foam tape over the original sentiment.

To finish my card I added white highlights with a Gelly Roll pen, shimmer with my Nuvo Shimmer pen, and clear acrylic bubbles around the card.

Another fun Easter card completed!

Spring Bunnies | Whimsy Stamps April Release

Hello Crafty Friends!

I have another Easter card today! I'm using a lot of different stamps and die sets for this card. I'm using he new release Spring Bunnies, the Criss Cross Gingham Background stamp, the previously released die No-See All Seasons Tree Die, the Build a Basket die set and the sentiment and a ladybug from the Hoppy Spring stamp set! I really love everything used on this card and the All seasons die is so awesome to have in your collection, it can be used anytime or even on it's own! Whimsy Stamps basically just has the best stamps, I love this company!

I began my card by stamping my images on #80 Neenah Solar White cardstock with a Copic safe black ink, and die cut them out with the coordinating dies. I colored the images with Copic markers and then began all the die cutting, which is my favorite part next to Copic coloring. I swear I could sit and die cut all day!

I inked the edges of the tree and grass with distress inks and inked the card panel as well. I used the Criss Cross Gingham Background stamp to add texture to the Easter basket. I used Copic markers to add shading to the bunny in the basket and the bird in the tree.

I used liquid glue to adhere everything to the card panel and trimmed off anything that was over hanging on the card.
I heat embossed the sentiment Hoppy Easter on a black strip of cardstock and adhere it with liquid glue as well.

As a finishing touch I added white pearls and iridescent bubbles to the card along with shimmer from my Nuvo shimmer pen, white highlights with a Gelly Roll pen, and Glossy Accents. I really love the way this card turned out!

Hoppy Easter | Whimsy Stamps April Release

Hello everyone!
I hope you're all doing well and are busy crafting during this pandemic that's keeping us all homebound. I'm happy to have crafting as my outlet, especially during this stressful time. And I can't believe Easter is Sunday and my seventh wedding anniversary is also Sunday! We'll definitely be staying in, but we don't mind at all.

Now to my card. Like I said I can't believe Sunday is Easter, and I frantically gathered Easter cards I've made and mailed them today! But my card below and a few others will get mailed tomorrow. This one and the others will be for my grandchildren.

For the April release, Whimsy Stamps came out with a Nested Pierced Egg Die that I couldn't wait to use! I've use that today along with the new 6x6 paper pack Eggtra Bunnies and the previously released Easter stamp set Hoppy Easter!

I began my card by stamping the images with black Copic safe ink onto #80 Neenah Solar White cardstock. I colored the images with Copic markers and use the coordinating dies to die cut them out. I die cut the largest egg from the Nested Pierced Egg die also with Neenah Solar White cardstock.

For the egg I used distress oxides and post it making tape to create a rainbow. I die cut a piece of fun foam with the same egg die to place behind the rainbow egg to give it dimension. Then die cut one of the paper patterns from the Eggtra Bunnies paper pack with a rectangle die from my stash and used liquid glue to adhere it to a lavender A2 sized top folding card base. I adhered the rainbow egg with Scor Tape and centered it on my card, then used liquid glue to adhere the bunny, egg and sentiment Hoppy Easter which I heat embossed.

To finish the card I added white highlights to the colored images, iridescent bubbles, and jelly bean enamel shapes around the card.

I love the way this card turned out, and I especially love the rainbow egg!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Easter Card using the Oval Simple Blends

Happy Tuesday Everyone!

Today I have a last minute Easter card to share using the Sweet Pops stamp set and the new Oval Simple Blends stencil. There are two more stencils in this line, a square and a circle, but I thought this one would be fun to use as an Easter egg.

To begin my card I use a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock cut to 4.25 x 5.5. I first placed the stencil down on the cardstock then I placed the cupcake stamp on top where I wanted it to go and marked it with a pencil. I removed the stencil, erased the pencil lines, stamped the image and created a mask for it so I could begin ink blending.

I began ink bending with Squeezed Lemonade Distress Ink and then used Dried Marigold. After I flicked some watered downed Peacock Feathers and Carved Pumpkin to create the look of a speckled egg. Then I removed the mask and Copic colored the image.

I heat embossed the sentiment Easter Sweeties from the stamp set using the new Emerald embossing powder from the Summer Collection, I thought it matched pretty well. Then I die cut the panel with a rectangle die and adhered it to a piece of patterned paper, and then adhered those to my card base.
Here's another look at my card.

I added Marigold and Clear Bottle Cap sequins to the egg and on my card and some gems from my stash. I also added Stickles to the center of the sequins and on the cupcake for a little sparkle.
And that completes my card for today! I hope everyone has a Happy Easter!

Sweet Pops Blog Hop | Love You Easter Card

Hello crafty friends and welcome to another spotlight stamp set blog hop!

Each week we focus on a different stamp set from our new release to inspire you! Be sure to visit the Brutus Monroe Blog to start at the beginning of the hop so you don't miss anything.

There are so many cute images on this stamp set, but I chose the bunnies to have each one in a picture frame and also a carrot which I thought was so cute and funny!

To begin my card I stamped all of the images with Raven Detail Ink and colored them with Copic markers. I cut them out with my Brother Scan N Cut and sat them aside. Then I die cut four scalloped circle dies for my frames. I used the Paint Spots stencil from Brutus Monroe and dry embossed it so my card panel could have some texture.

Next I glued my scalloped frames in place with Brutus Monroe craft glue, then added the bunnies, the carrot, and the bows. I added Wink of Stella to the bows for some glitter and shine.

I used a white Gelly Roll pen to add highlights to the carrot and to the bunny noses. I used Glass Slipper Bottle Cap sequins around my card for embellishments and added Stickles on the sequins for more shimmer!

I adore this stamp set! Remember this is part of a blog hop, be sure to head on over to the Brutus Monroe blog to see the super cute creations the rest of the design team has created!

You're A Good Egg | DoubleClick Skittles Challenge #44 | Easter

Welcome to week #44 of the DoubleClick Skittles Challenge!
It's an Easter Challenge this week!
I still can't get over Easter coming so early this year!

For the Easter challenge, you can use anything about Easter, or use an Easter Basket, A Bunny, An Egg on your project. This was really a fun card to make!

I used a few different stamps sets from Sunny Studio Stamps. I even decided to decorate the inside of the card. When I first started making cards I always had some type if decoration in my cards, somehow I sort of got out of it.

For my card I used the Frosty Pink Skittles which you can purchase HERE!
I used several colors of copics to color with. I also added wink of stella to give it some shine.
The cardstock I used Neenah 80# and MFT 100#.
