Whimsy Stamps May Mini Release | Menopause

Hello Crafty Friends!

Whimsy Stamps has a new Mini Release that's available now! Click HERE to shop the new release!

Check out the Design Team inspiration below!

Today I have two cards to share using the new Menopause stamp set and the new WTF? and UGH! dies!

Both cards I'm featuring today are A2 size top folding on #100 cardstock. I colored my images with Copic markers on #80 Neenah Solar White cardstock.

This stamp set is so hilarious! I really loved coloring the thermometer in different colors relating to the caption next to it! There are so many fun sentiments that come in this stamp set.

Another fun aspect are the WTF? and UGH! dies. They both work so well with this stamp set and many others that Whimsy Stamps carries, as per the design team cards. They really used them well with other stamp sets too!

Another fun aspect of these new dies are that they have a shadow die to go along with it, I love that with word dies! Also the letters are made to overlap each other, LOVE! I've never seen a word die like this before. If you look closely at my card you can see I used foam tape to pop up the T and the exclamation mark. This gave it some dimension, I think it looks great popped up.

I left my other card blank on the inside, but wanted to incorporate the UGH! die. So I placed it on the inside of this card with a sentiment from the stamp set and also stamped the lady, then used a pink Copic marker to add just a little color.

To finished my cards I used a white Gelly Roll pen for high lights and and faux stitching on the word dies. On the second card I also used a Star Dust Glitter Gel pen on her flip flops and sweat.

And that's my cards for today, I hope you liked them! I think they were so fun to create!

Thanks so much for stopping by

New Mini Release | Wrinkles | Whimsy Stamps

Hello Crafty Friends!

Whimsy Stamps has a new mini release this week! Remember Wrinkles from Paper Door? Well he's back along with a fun new paper pack, a puppy paws die set and a paws and bones border die set! And I can't be more excited, the new release is so fun and so adorable!

Here's a look at the design teams creations!

I have two cards today, one is a shaker card and one is a rainbow card!

My shaker card is a top folding A2 size. I used the Wrinkles stamp set and colored him with Copic markers with E44, E43, E43, E41, R17, B07, B05, B00, and R83. I used the new Woof paper pack for the card panel and die cut it out with the Wonky Stitched Rectangle Diethe new Puppy Paws die set for the shaker part and sentiment. I stacked three layers of the paw prints and acetate on fun foam, added sequins and used pink cardstock for the bottom layer. I die cut the sentiment with the same pink cardstock, and adhered Wrinkles to the bottom left of the card.

I completed my card by adding white highlights with a Gelly Roll pen, shimmer with a Nuvo Shimmer pen, and Sprinklez Sweethearts embellishments.

My second card is also a top folding A2 sized card. I used the smaller puppy paw prints from the new Puppy Paws Die Set. I die cut them in rainbow colors and stacked them for dimension. I added little bones and hearts also from the new die set. I die cut the larger bone for Wrinkles to look like his head was popping up from behind it. For the sentiment I used the Hugs die from the new release.

To complete the card I used Copic markers E41 and E40 on the bones and white highlights on Wrinkles and the sentiment.

And these are my cards for today!
You can find the new release HERE.

Thank you so much for stopping by today and have a great day!

Hippo Beach Fun | Mini Release | Whimsy Stamps

Hello Crafty Friends and Happy May!

Today Whimsy Stamps has a new Mini Release that's available now!

Here's a look at what the design team has created!

For my card today I'll be featuring the new Hippo Fun stamp set, the super pretty 6x6 Rainbow Paper Pack and the Shaker Maker Banner Die Set!

I have four clean and simple cards that were so simple to create! I just love the way they look on the Rainbow paper!

I began my cards by trimming #100 white cardstock to create four top folding card bases, three portrait and one landscape. The one landscape card I just wanted the paper positioned a certain way that I thought looked prettier. Then I used the largest die from the Wonky Stitched Rectangle Die to die cut four rectangles from the rainbow paper and then used the smallest die from the Shaker Maker Banner Die Set and die cut four banners also from the rainbow paper.

Next I stamped all the images with Copic safe black ink onto #80 Neenah Solar White cardstock. I ran those images through my Brother Scan n Cut and then colored them all with Copic markers.

I then stamped all of the banners with fun sentiments that I thought went with images and popped them up with foam tape and adhered one to the top left of each card panel. Then I used liquid glue to adhere each of the hippos in place. I used strips of black cardstock to heat emboss another sentiment to use on each card. I popped those up with foam tape and place them under each image.

And to finish my cards I added white highlights with a Gelly Roll pen, shimmer with a Nuvo Shimmer pen, and acrylic bubbles around the card.

Thank you for stopping by today
and have a great day!

Be Festive | Whimsy Stamps | Mini Release

Hello Crafty Friends!

Today I'm using the fun and festive Cute Cacti stamp set from the Whimsy Stamps April mini release! There is also a coordinating 6x6 paper pad called Festive Desert!  I think these would be great for Cinco de Mayo cards!

I started with my background first. I used #80 Neenah Solar White cardstock and ink blended a sky background using Distress Oxides in Squeezed Lemonade, Spiced Marmalade, Abandoned Coral, and Aged Mahogany. But in the end you really can't see the Aged Mahogany. Then I used another piece of Neenah and ink blended a ground with Antique Linen and Brushed Corduroy Distress Oxides. Then I used the same Distress Oxide inks with a little water and a small paint brush and splattered the ink over the sky background and the ground. That is such a fun thing to do!

I die cut the sky background with the Wonky Stitched Rectangle Die and then used one of the Pierced Border Trio Dies to create my ground. For my banner I used green cardstock and and a piece of pattern paper from the new paper pack and die cut them with the smallest die from the Shaker Maker Banner Die Set. I kept the inner pieces of the flags and then I used the Wonky Stitched Rectangle die again to die cut them smaller and have the same matching stitching on them and for my ground.

I colored the images with Copic Markers. I used YG67, YG17, YG03, and YG21 for the Cacti. For the pots I used E18, E17, E13, R85, R83, R81, BG09, and BG57. For the flower YR24, YR23, and YR31.

To assemble the card I used #100 pound orange cardstock and trimmed it with my paper trimmer to an A2 sized card, 5.5x4.25
I wrapped a piece of thick twine around the background panel and attached the twine with Scotch tape on the back, and used foam tape to pop the panel up. I adhered the flags over the twine with foam dots.
I used a combination of liquid glue and foam tape for the ground and adhered those on top of the sky background. I did the same for the images and the Be Festive sentiment. The sentiment, the middle cacti and the cacti near the bottom of the card are adhered with liquid glue and the other two I used liquid glue and foam tape. I also tucked the top Cactus in the ground.

To finish the card I added white highlights with a Gelly Roll pen to the images and even though the card has stitching from the dies, I added white dash lines or faux stitching around the card and flags with the same white pen. I added shimmer with a shimmer pen, Glossy Accents and three large gold sequins with Stickles in the middle of them.

That was a long post, thanks for sticking with me and stopping by today!

Polka Dot Pals Mini Release | Polka Dot Pals Mason | Whimsy Stamps

Hello Crafty Friends and Happy Fri-Yay!

Today Whimsy Stamps has another Mini Release that's available now! They've added more Polka Dot Pals to the store and I couldn't be happier! I absolutely love coloring these little people, it's just so much fun!

Today I'm introducing the beautiful Mason! She reminds me of my beautiful granddaughter Emma, and she loves unicorns! So I colored Mason to look like Emma, and I know she'll love this card!

To begin my card I stamped my images with a Copic safe ink onto #80 Neenah Solar White Cardstock. The foreground images, Mason, the unicorn, and flowers were masked off so I could stamp the fence. The fence is from the previously released Polka Dot Pals Fern. Fern was my first design team post for Whimsy Stamps which you can see here

After removing the masks I used Copic markers to color the images to create a scene. I used light shades of Copic markers to create a rainbow background.

After I finished coloring I used liquid glue to adhere the colored panel to an A2 sized top folding card base.

To finish the card I added white highlights, and shimmer to the scene. I didn't feel anything else was needed for the card.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Thinking of You | Whimsy Stamps

Hello Crafty Friends!

Today I have a Thinking of You card created using the Butterflies stamp set, the Poppy Flower Die Set, the Wonky Stitched Rectangle Die and the Brick Pattern Stencil along with some texture paste.

To begin my card today I used a paper trimmer to trim down a sheet of #100 white cardstock to an A2 sized card base, 5.5x4.25
Then I die cut a piece of watercolor paper using the Wonky Stitched Rectangle die for my card panel. I used watercolor paper to add texture paste with the Brick Pattern stencil. I partially covered the card panel with the texture paste and let it dry overnight. I really love the dimension and texture on this card!

I stamped the butterfly on #80 Neenah Solar White cardstock with black Copic safe ink, then ran it through my Brother Scan n Cut machine to die cut it out. I colored the butterfly with different shades of yellow red Copic markers.
Next I die cut the poppies from #100 yellow cardstock and die cut the leaves from #100 green cardstock. I used Copic markers to add color and texture details to the poppies.

After the texture paste dried it was to time to assemble the card. I first adhered the textured panel to the card base with liquid glue. Then I arranged the butterfly, poppies and leaves on the card panel to see how I would like them arranged on the card. Once I decided I started to adhere everything in place. I adhered the leaves with liquid glue first. Then adhered the bottom poppy layer with liquid glue and the petals with foam squares for dimension. Then adhered the top poppy and the butterfly with liquid glue.

The card now needs a sentiment and there just wasn't enough room on the front, so I stamped Thinking of you and a partial butterfly print on the inside with gray ink.

To finish my card I added shimmer with a Nuvo Shimmer pen, rhinestones on the card panel and one in the center of the poppy.

And that's my card for today, thanks so much for stopping by!

Udderly fabMOOLous | Whimsy Stamps April Release

Hello Crafty Friends!

Today I have a shaker card using the new Cow Friends stamp set, the new 6x6 paper pad Eggstra Bunnies, from the March release the Nested Hexagon Die Set and the previously released Wonky Stitched Rectangle Die.

To begin my card I created the card base using #100 white cardstock trimmed down to and A2 sized top folding card. From the new paper pack I die cut a sheet of the pattern paper and then adhered it to the card base with liquid glue. Then I used two dies from the Nested Hexagon, placed one inside of the other, taped it to my die cutting plate and then ran it through my manuel die cutting machine. This is what I'll use to create my shaker.

I stamped the cow on #80 Neenah Solar White cardstock with a black Copic safe ink, then used my Brother Scan n Cut to cut him out.

To create my shaker, I also used the hexagon die to die cut a piece of acetate. I used 1/8 inch Scor Tape to adhere the acetate to the back of the hexagon. Then I used two layers of foam tape around the back of the hexagon over the acetate, now it's ready for sequins.
But first I removed the backing paper from the foam tape, except for the top of the hexagon. I used a powder tool along the sides of the foam tape to remove the stickiness so the sequins won't stick the sides. I placed the hexagon on the card, then from the top I added a ton of sequins, probably to many, but I have plenty. Then I removed the last piece of backing paper from the foam tape and sealed it shut. I adhered the cow with liquid glue and the sentiment right below the cow. The sentiment Udderly fabMOOlous, I heat embossed with a Bright White embossing powder from WOW! I used a combination of liquid glue and foam tape to adhere it.

To finish the card I added white highlights to the cow with a Gelly Roll pen, shimmer with a Nuvo Shimmer pen, and a combination of acrylic dew drops and confetti sequins around the card. So much fun!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
