Koala Cuteness | Whimsy Stamps

Hello Crafty Friends!

I have another Koala Bear card to share from the Koala Cuteness stamp set. Today's card is a clean and simple design that was super quick to create!

I began my card by stamping the sleeping koala on #80 Neenah Solar White cardstock in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I colored the image with Copic markers. For the background I used two Copic markers in blue violet shades to create a simple night scene.

Then I used the Rounded Rectangle Die to die cut the image. My card base is an A2 sized top folding card. I adhered a strip of black and white patterned paper to the bottom of the card and then placed my koala card panel on top centering it. Next I stamped the sentiment Such Cuteness from the stamp set in VersaFine Black Onyx Ink for a super black sentiment, then die cut it out with a sentiment strip die from my stash using liquid glue to adhere it below the image.

And to complete my card I added acrylic bubbles and white highlights with a Gelly Roll pen. Don't you just love her little freckles?

That's my card for today! Be sure to come back tomorrow and visit Whimsy Stamps for the March release, you're going to love it!

Whimsy Stamps February Release | Koala Cuteness Slimline Card

Hello and welcome!

Today is the new February Release! I hope you are just as excited as I am because Whimsy Stamps has a new Koala Bear stamp set called Koala Cuteness. And it is cuteness!

Isn't it the cutest?  I paired this stamp with the Slimline Scallop die also from Whimsy Stamps.

I began my card by creating a card base from #80 Neenah Solar White cardstock and trimmed it to 8.5x3.25 and trimmed pink textured cardstock slightly smaller. I die cut the Scallop Slimline die out of the same Neenah cardstock, the same pink, and white textured cardstock. I used the Neenah card stock and a heart stencil to ink blend the background. I used Spun Sugar Distress Oxide and Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide.

I used another piece of #80 Neenah Solar White cardstock and stamped the Koala's with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink to Copic color.
After I colored the images I cut them out with my Brother Scan n Cut machine. I then heat embossed the sentiments with Pink embossing powder on black cardstock. The pink embossing powder really popped off the black cardstock.

I adhered the textured cardstocks to the card base using liquid glue and I popped up the Koala's and sentiments with foam tape.

I used a white gelly roll pen for highlights and interest to my card. I used Glossy Accents on the Koala's eyes and noses, the leaves and heart. And for my final embellishment I added iridescent bubbles.

And that's my card for today, I'll be back next week with another card from the new release.
