New Mini Release | Wrinkles | Whimsy Stamps

Hello Crafty Friends!

Whimsy Stamps has a new mini release this week! Remember Wrinkles from Paper Door? Well he's back along with a fun new paper pack, a puppy paws die set and a paws and bones border die set! And I can't be more excited, the new release is so fun and so adorable!

Here's a look at the design teams creations!

I have two cards today, one is a shaker card and one is a rainbow card!

My shaker card is a top folding A2 size. I used the Wrinkles stamp set and colored him with Copic markers with E44, E43, E43, E41, R17, B07, B05, B00, and R83. I used the new Woof paper pack for the card panel and die cut it out with the Wonky Stitched Rectangle Diethe new Puppy Paws die set for the shaker part and sentiment. I stacked three layers of the paw prints and acetate on fun foam, added sequins and used pink cardstock for the bottom layer. I die cut the sentiment with the same pink cardstock, and adhered Wrinkles to the bottom left of the card.

I completed my card by adding white highlights with a Gelly Roll pen, shimmer with a Nuvo Shimmer pen, and Sprinklez Sweethearts embellishments.

My second card is also a top folding A2 sized card. I used the smaller puppy paw prints from the new Puppy Paws Die Set. I die cut them in rainbow colors and stacked them for dimension. I added little bones and hearts also from the new die set. I die cut the larger bone for Wrinkles to look like his head was popping up from behind it. For the sentiment I used the Hugs die from the new release.

To complete the card I used Copic markers E41 and E40 on the bones and white highlights on Wrinkles and the sentiment.

And these are my cards for today!
You can find the new release HERE.

Thank you so much for stopping by today and have a great day!

Udderly fabMOOLous | Whimsy Stamps April Release

Hello Crafty Friends!

Today I have a shaker card using the new Cow Friends stamp set, the new 6x6 paper pad Eggstra Bunnies, from the March release the Nested Hexagon Die Set and the previously released Wonky Stitched Rectangle Die.

To begin my card I created the card base using #100 white cardstock trimmed down to and A2 sized top folding card. From the new paper pack I die cut a sheet of the pattern paper and then adhered it to the card base with liquid glue. Then I used two dies from the Nested Hexagon, placed one inside of the other, taped it to my die cutting plate and then ran it through my manuel die cutting machine. This is what I'll use to create my shaker.

I stamped the cow on #80 Neenah Solar White cardstock with a black Copic safe ink, then used my Brother Scan n Cut to cut him out.

To create my shaker, I also used the hexagon die to die cut a piece of acetate. I used 1/8 inch Scor Tape to adhere the acetate to the back of the hexagon. Then I used two layers of foam tape around the back of the hexagon over the acetate, now it's ready for sequins.
But first I removed the backing paper from the foam tape, except for the top of the hexagon. I used a powder tool along the sides of the foam tape to remove the stickiness so the sequins won't stick the sides. I placed the hexagon on the card, then from the top I added a ton of sequins, probably to many, but I have plenty. Then I removed the last piece of backing paper from the foam tape and sealed it shut. I adhered the cow with liquid glue and the sentiment right below the cow. The sentiment Udderly fabMOOlous, I heat embossed with a Bright White embossing powder from WOW! I used a combination of liquid glue and foam tape to adhere it.

To finish the card I added white highlights to the cow with a Gelly Roll pen, shimmer with a Nuvo Shimmer pen, and a combination of acrylic dew drops and confetti sequins around the card. So much fun!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Kaleidoscope Stencil Background Shaker Card

Happy Tuesday everyone! Brutus Monroe has come out with two new stencils this release, and today I'm using the Kaleidoscope stencil with a few other Brutus Monroe products to make a shaker card for Christmas.

I started with a piece of 6 x 6 cardstock and the Kaleidoscope stencil, I taped them both down to my media mat. I used the Brutus Monroe Honeysuckle Surface Ink and a finger dauber to pounce the ink all over the stencil until the entire cardstock was covered.

After I was done I stamped one of the snowmen from the Snow Friends stamp set and colored him with Copics, cut him out, and then prepared my shaker card.

For my shaker card I used some pink beads from my stash and Brutus Monroe Bottle Cap sequins in Ballerina.

I assembled my card using Brutus Monroe craft glue and 3M foam tape and finished by cutting a banner for my sentiment. My sentiment, Merry Christmas, is from the Brutus Monroe Comfort and Joy Holiday Inspiration Box.

That's my card for today, I hope you enjoyed! And thanks so much for stopping by!

MFT Sketch Challenge 345 | Wishing You a Hippo Bird-Day

It's time for the Wednesday Sketch Challenge over at MFT, so today I thought I'd join in!

Here's the sketch this week...
Sketch Challenge 345 #mftstamps

And here's my take on the sketch...

I used the Happy Hippos stamp set today and created a shaker card, I never seem to make enough shaker cards, I love them so much. I placed the sentiment in the middle of the shaker so the recipient will have to shake it around to see the sentiment. The pieces inside the shaker are from the Die-Namics Balloon Shaker. I also used the Blue Prints number one for the strip along the left side of the card and the circle for the shaker is also from MFT but may be retired, can't think of the name, sorry.
I also used Cotton Candy and Gravel Grey cardstock from MFT. Card base is 110 Neenah Solar White, and the top panel is 80 lb. Neenah Solar White.
I colored it all in with my copics.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

With Love | Gerda Steiner Share Your Design Challenge #14

Hi, everyone, today I'm sharing a Valentine's Day card I created with the Hello Spring set from Gerda Steiner Designs. Today is the 14th Share Your Designs Challenge, and I've tried my hand again at making a shaker card again. I'm convinced shaker cards are not my thing. I want to make them, but I still need plenty practice.

I used my W2 copic marker for the bunny and the R20 for the nose, ears, and paw. I used a flicking method to make the fur have texture. And to make the bunny a girl, I gave it eye lashes! Cute! BG10 was used for the inside of the bubble blower and the heart bubbles.
The shaker components are from my stash, no particular company.
I used the strawberry Skittles from DoubleClick Connections to match the card. The Polaroid die cut and border die are from MFT.

So this is my entry today, and I hope it has inspired you to create!
