I used Neenah 80# cardstock for the base, MFT's patterned paper.
I colored my eggs in with copic markers.
I embellished the card with twine and finished it off with the Stream skittle dew drops.

You're A Good Egg | DoubleClick Skittles Challenge #44 | Easter

Welcome to week #44 of the DoubleClick Skittles Challenge!
It's an Easter Challenge this week!
I still can't get over Easter coming so early this year!

For the Easter challenge, you can use anything about Easter, or use an Easter Basket, A Bunny, An Egg on your project. This was really a fun card to make!

I used a few different stamps sets from Sunny Studio Stamps. I even decided to decorate the inside of the card. When I first started making cards I always had some type if decoration in my cards, somehow I sort of got out of it.

For my card I used the Frosty Pink Skittles which you can purchase HERE!
I used several colors of copics to color with. I also added wink of stella to give it some shine.
The cardstock I used Neenah 80# and MFT 100#.

Shamrock Bouquet | DoubleClick Skittles Challenge Week #2 | St. Patrick's Day or Green

Welcome to week #2 of the DoublesClick Skittles Challenge! The theme is Green or St. Patrick's Day!
This week I wanted to do something a little different again. I saw on Pinterest some beautiful paper Shamrock Bouquet's. So I thought I  would give it a try. I totally made a big mess and had to start over. Then my problem became I needed a vase or something to display it in. I had a small ceramic flower pot with English ivy's with styrofoam in the bottom. So I placed them in there, and I thought they were cute.

I used all scrap paper for this project. I inked up the sides with shabby shutters distress ink.
I found some glittery green buttons to add to the shamrocks, which looked really cute with Clover skittle dew drops!
I used hot glue to adhere them to skewers and placed them in the pot.

That's my project for this week, a luck of the Irish was needed, lol.

DoubleClick Skittles Challenge #43 | St. Patrick's Day or Green

Ah, the luck of the Irish! It's a St. Patrick's Day theme or use Green!
I do believe this may be my first St. Patty's Day card I've made.

It wasn't easy for me to create this card. So, after too much thought I just went for it.
I purchased the Hats Off to You stamp set from Here! Love that set! Wrapped washi tape around the panel, then I stamped the shamrock's and hats and colored them in with my copics. I fussy cut the hats out and used dimensional adhesive to pop them up. Then added wink of stella and glossy accents.
I used the Frog skittle dew drops which you can purchase at DoubleClick Connections, and the sequins from HERE!

Hard to believe it's already March!

DoubleClick Skittles Challenge #42 | Birthday

It's week #42 of the DoubleClick Skittles Challenge! This week the theme is Birthday, how fun!
So I challenged myself to make a boy birthday card. I usually make tons of girly cards, so today would be different.
I bought this stamp set last year called Loads of Fun from Amuse Studio, and this is my first time using it! It's an all boy theme stamp set, but I know some little girls who loves trucks and tractors.

I colored the trucks with my copics, and stamp the clouds in with Simon Says Stamp white pigment ink.I wrapped the top panel in twine and added a tiny clothes pin.

I stamped the sentiment and then added three of the Spots dew drops.
The Spots dew drops have glitter flakes in them.

That's my birthday card for this week!

DoubleClick Skittles Challenge Week #2 | Use a Heart | Mixed Media Vintage Upcycle Heart

Welcome back today to week #2 of The DoubleClick Skittles Challenge! Use a Heart is the theme, and today I have an upcycled project.
A while back I thrifted an old slate heart with a picture painted on it. I probably paid .25 cents for it. So, I thought i would get it out and see what I could make with it.

I knew I needed to paint over this so I used Gesso to cover it up and let it dry.

Next I used the Martha Stewart Pearl paint in Aquarium, love this color and shine!
I used the heat gun to dry this time.

And here is what I did! I used hot glue to adhere beads, vintage buttons, skittles, faux pearls, and sequin butterflies. I defiantly love collecting vintage buttons can you tell?
After burning my finger with the hot glue gun, I decided to use the Ranger Multi Medium Matte glue, it was just safer that way. This had to sit over night to dry.

Here are a few close ups.

And finally I put it on display on my hutch!

This is my project for this week, I hope you enjoyed something a little different!
I think this makes a cute home decor piece.
Oh, and not to forget, I found this idea from Mark Montano, except it was his Facebook page.

I truly feel like making a couple more maybe making it into a scene.

DoubleClick Skittles Challenge #41 | Valentine's Day

Hello and welcome to the DoubleClick Skittles Challenge!

This is week #41 and the theme is Valentine's Day or use a Heart. I have two cards to show you today!

I used stamps and dies from Concord & 9th called By Your Side.

I used copics to color in the birds, and the branch. The heart is felt and the sentiment is gold embossed. These birds come as a die only, but it has matching sentiment stamps.
I used the Gold skittle dew drops on this card.

On the card, this was the remainder of the bird die cut, like its out line. I ran the two pieces through my Xyron then I pieced them together. I really love how this turned out! Again I used a felt heart. And used the Frosty clear dew drops on this one to match.
This card is a 3 x 4 from a piece of scrap cardstock.
I am not happy about the photos, seems to be too much light today.

Supplies Used:
Gold and Frosty Skittle Dew Drops
American Crafts, Neenah, and MFT cardstock
Concord & 9th die and stamps
Xyron create a sticker
Beacon Zip Dry Glue
Red felt from Amuse Studio
