Koala Cuteness | Whimsy Stamps

Hello Crafty Friends!

I have another Koala Bear card to share from the Koala Cuteness stamp set. Today's card is a clean and simple design that was super quick to create!

I began my card by stamping the sleeping koala on #80 Neenah Solar White cardstock in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I colored the image with Copic markers. For the background I used two Copic markers in blue violet shades to create a simple night scene.

Then I used the Rounded Rectangle Die to die cut the image. My card base is an A2 sized top folding card. I adhered a strip of black and white patterned paper to the bottom of the card and then placed my koala card panel on top centering it. Next I stamped the sentiment Such Cuteness from the stamp set in VersaFine Black Onyx Ink for a super black sentiment, then die cut it out with a sentiment strip die from my stash using liquid glue to adhere it below the image.

And to complete my card I added acrylic bubbles and white highlights with a Gelly Roll pen. Don't you just love her little freckles?

That's my card for today! Be sure to come back tomorrow and visit Whimsy Stamps for the March release, you're going to love it!

Goth Girl | Whimsy Stamps

Hello Crafty Friends!

I have a bright and bold card today using the Whimsy Stamps Goth Girl stamp set in conjunction with the Connected Rectangle Die all from the February release.

I began my card by stamping the Goth Girl with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto #80 Neenah Solar White cardstock. I masked the girl with masking tape then stamped the cat and realized I didn't need to mask at all, but I was playing it safe.

I colored the images with Copic markers and then die cut the panel with the Whimsy Stamps Wonky Stitched Rectangle die. The wonky die has to be my favorite die at the moment, I can't get enough. Then I stamped the sentiment You & Me under the images.

I die cut three of the Connected Rectangle Frame Dies in Teal, Dark Pink, and White cardstock. I decided two frames were plenty but I keep the inside pieces. I Copic colored the white frame with a matching Copic marker.

I popped up the Copic colored panel onto a teal cardstock panel with foam tape and adhered them with liquid glue to an A2 sized card base.

I then took the two frames and adhered them together a little off set and glued the negative pieces that were left over back in place using different colors.

I added white highlights to the images using a Gelly Roll pen and added shimmer with a Nuvo Shimmer pen. To finished the card I used matching enamel dots.

I love to adding stamp images or at least a sentiment to the inside of my cards. I stamped the cat and the sentiment Best Friends.

That's my card for today, thanks for stopping by!

Best Fishes | Whimsy Stamps

Hello and welcome!

For today's card I'm using the Best Fishes stamp set and the Best Fishes sentiment stamp to basically create a one layer card.

I began my card by stamping my images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto #80 Neenah Solar White cardstock. I wanted my ocean scene to have a feeling of sun rays streaming through it, I began with some light pink and blue Copic markers above the fish. With light, fast, and long strokes I filled the top of my card moving diagonally to the bottom. Then I started adding a little darker color around the sides and bottom stroking or flicking my marker upwards and diagonally.

Once I finished with the water I began coloring the stamped images also with Copic markers. I trimmed the colored panel with a stitched rectangle die from my stash and adhered it to a blue card base using liquid glue.

I added Iridescent bubbles above the fish to emulate air bubbles, then added white highlights and shimmer with my Nuvo Shimmer pen.

And don't you just love the way the sentiment comes down the fishing line? That's so cool!

That completes my card today, I hope you enjoyed!

Polka Dot Pals Khadija | Whimsy Stamps February Release

Hello everyone & happy Sunday!

Today I'm sharing a card using one of the newest Polka Dot Pals, Khadija and paring it with another new release, Elegant Wood Frames! I think these two stamps really go well together, she is such a pretty fairy and the frame has a magical feel.

I began my card by stamping my images with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto #80 Neenah Solar White cardstock. I stamped extra flowers from the Elegant Wood Frames stamp set and extra butterflies from the Polka Dot Pals stamp set, I knew I would need to fill in the scene. I colored the images with Copic markers, and then cut them out using my Brother Scan n Cut machine. I also colored the inside of the frame and her eyes with a light blue Copic marker.

I first began assembling my card by creating a A2 sized card base from #80 Neenah Solar White cardstock. I trimmed down a piece of light blue cardstock with a rectangle die then adhered it to the card base using liquid glue. Then I remembered I needed to stamp my sentiment before going any farther. I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink and stamped the sentiment Cherish from the Elegant Wood Frames stamp set. I popped Khadija up with foam tape and added a flower to her hair. I used a combination of liquid glue and foam tape to adhere the flowers and butterflies around Khadija and the wood frame.

I added highlights with a white Gelly Roll pen on most of the images, somehow I've gotten into the habit of doing this and I think it looks so good it just adds a little something extra for interest. I used my Nuvo Shimmer pen on all of the flowers and butterflies, and then added acrylic bubbles around my card.

And that's my card for today! Khadija is a ton of fun to color, and I just love the frame with all of the flowers and butterflies around her.
