Layered Peruvian Lily | Whimsy Stamps

Hello Crafty Friends!

Today I'm sharing a layered stamp set called Layered Peruvian Lily part of the January 2020 release. No Copic coloring which is so strange to me, but I really enjoyed making this card.

There are three layers to these flowers, but I only used two of the layers for the flowers and the leaves. I created a template for myself so I could line up the flowers and the leaves. I stamped them on #80 Neenah cardstock and then cut the flowers and leaves with my Brother Scan n Cut. I used the negative piece of cardstock to help me line them up. I did that by stamping the first flower layer on my cardstock in my Misti, I placed my template on top, then added my second stamp layer over the template cut out. I closed my Misti door to pick up the stamp, removed my template and stamped the second layer on top of the first layer. This process for me was much easier than lining them up without the template. I'm seriously layered stamping challenged.

After I finished stamping all of the flowers and leaves I cut them out with my Brother Scan n Cut. I used liquid glue and placed all the leaves in a circle on my card base. I popped up three of the flowers on foam tape and the third flower on top has a double layer of foam tape. I added the gold thread underneath the top flower so they could be adhered together.

I then heat embossed the sentiment Happy Birthday from the stamp set in gold embossing powder and die cut it with a flag banner from my stash. I added white pearls to accent the card, and that finished my card. Easier than I imagined.

Giraffe 2 Slimline Card | Whimsy Stamps

Hello crafty friends!

Today I have another giraffe card from the Giraffe 2 stamp set and the Slimeline Window die to create a slimline card!

To begin my card I started by cutting a piece of #80 Neenah cardstock to 8.75x3.5. I inked the panel with Scattered Straw Distressed Oxide Ink, then placed the Giraffe Stencil on top of the inked panel and inked the panel again with Rusty Hinge Distressed Oxide Ink. Then cut the panel with the Slimline Window die. I popped up the positive piece of the panel with foam tape onto my card base then used liquid glue to place the negative pieces in like puzzle pieces matching the giraffe dots.

Next I inked my images with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto Neenah #80 cardstock and began coloring with Copic markers.  I trimmed the images out with my Brother Scan n Cut machine and adhered them with a combination of liquid glue and foam tape. I heat embossed the sentiment Hello There on black cardstock and trimmed it out with my paper trimmer and used foam tape to pop it up on my card. To finish my card I used the Nuvo Shimmer pen for some shimmer, added matching enamel dots and a white gel pen.

And that's my card for today, I hope you enjoyed!

Giraffe 2 | Whimsy Stamps New Releasse

Hello and Happy Monday Crafty Friends!

Today I'm sharing a card using the new release stamp set Giraffe 2, along with the new Giraffe stencil and previously released Swiss Dots A2 Die.

I began with an A2 sized panel of Neenah Solar White #80 cardstock. I ink blended the entire panel with my lightest color, Scattered Straw Distress Oxide. Then I placed the Giraffe stencil on top and ink blended over the Scattered Straw with Rusty Hinge Distress Oxide. I thought these were the perfect giraffe colors. My next step, I die cut the panel with the Swiss Dots A2 die. I used an an A2 sized top folding note card and popped up the die cut piece with foam tape. I used liquid glue to adhere the negative pieces into the circles like puzzle pieces.

I used another A2 sized panel of Neenah Solar White #80 cardstock and stamped the images with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I colored them using Copic markers and trimmed them out with my Brother Scan and Cut machine. I arranged the images on the panel and adhered them down with a combination of liquid glue and foam tape. I added a little shimmer with my Nuvo Shimmer Pen, added enamel dots and white gel pen highlights for interest. I heat embossed the sentiment on black cardstock, trimmed it down with a paper trimmer and popped it up with foam tape. I love the dimension on this card!

I had an extra colored giraffe so I adhered him with liquid glue on the inside of my card and stamped the sentiment "I really miss you" next to him. And that finished my card. I love decorating the inside of my cards, it's just a nice finishing touch to me.

Voo Doo Too | Whimsy Stamps January Release

Hello Crafty Friends!

Today I'm sharing a Valentine's Day card using the new Whimsy Stamps Voo Doo Too stamp set and the Illusions background stamp. I absolutely adore this little guy, except I made him a girl.

I first stamped my background with the Illusions background stamp in a lavender ink. I trimmed down my panel slightly smaller to leave a white border around the image. I used an oval die from my stash and centered it on the background image and cut it out.
I then stamped my voo doo doll with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Neenah #80 cardstock and trimmed her out with a smaller oval die from my stash. I colored the image with Copic markers, used a white gel pen for highlights, and added a bow to her head with matching twine.

I made an A2 sized card base using Neenah #80 cardstock. I adhered the first panel down on the note card with liquid glue and popped up both ovals on top of each other with foam tape. I added shimmer with my Nuvo Shimmer Pen and matching enamel dots.

I stamped the other voo doo doll and a sentiment from the stamp set on the inside of the card.

And that's my card for today, I hope you enjoyed! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Whimsy Stamps January New Release | Polka Dot Pals Fern

Hello crafty friends!

This is my first design team post for Whimsy Stamps and I couldn't be more excited! I hope you enjoy because today is also their first new release for the New Year!

Today I'm showcasing one of the new Polka Dot Pals, her name is Fern and she is the sweetest, and the new rectangle stitched die called Wonky Stitch, so fun!

For Fern and the flowers I first stamped them out on Neenah #80 lb. cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and then cut her out using my Brother Scan and Cut machine. I colored the images using my Copic markers and used a white gel pen to add highlights and interest to my coloring.

For my background and hill I used the Giraffe 6x6 paper pack. I die cut the giraffe print background from the new release Wonky Stitch rectangle die and I used a hill die from my stash for the polka dot hill. I adhered the giraffe patterned paper first and then the hill with liquid glue on an A2 sized notecard and popped Fern up on foam tape along with one of the flowers. I also added a flower to her hair. I die cut Birthday from the same paper pack using the Birthday Word and Shadow die set and used a Happy sentiment stamp from another Whimsy Stamps stamp set, and finished the card by adding matching enamel dots and shimmer with a Nuvo Shimmer Pen.

And that's my card for today, thanks for stopping by!
