You're A Good Egg | DoubleClick Skittles Challenge #44 | Easter

Welcome to week #44 of the DoubleClick Skittles Challenge!
It's an Easter Challenge this week!
I still can't get over Easter coming so early this year!

For the Easter challenge, you can use anything about Easter, or use an Easter Basket, A Bunny, An Egg on your project. This was really a fun card to make!

I used a few different stamps sets from Sunny Studio Stamps. I even decided to decorate the inside of the card. When I first started making cards I always had some type if decoration in my cards, somehow I sort of got out of it.

For my card I used the Frosty Pink Skittles which you can purchase HERE!
I used several colors of copics to color with. I also added wink of stella to give it some shine.
The cardstock I used Neenah 80# and MFT 100#.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Come join the challenge this week, link up your project with your Skittles for a chance to win a prize! If you do not have any Skittles you can still play along. The Skittle dew drops are such a fun and beautiful embellishment that you can use alone or with other embellishments. And Carrie has a variety of colors, and free shipping in the United States! DoubleClick Skittles Challenge #43 | St. Patrick's Day or Green

Ah, the luck of the Irish! It's a St. Patrick's Day theme or use Green!
I do believe this may be my first St. Patty's Day card I've made.

It wasn't easy for me to create this card. So, after too much thought I just went for it.
I purchased the Hats Off to You stamp set from Here! Love that set! Wrapped washi tape around the panel, then I stamped the shamrock's and hats and colored them in with my copics. I fussy cut the hats out and used dimensional adhesive to pop them up. Then added wink of stella and glossy accents.
I used the Frog skittle dew drops which you can purchase at DoubleClick Connections, and the sequins from HERE!

Hard to believe it's already March!

Thanks for stopping by today!

DoubleClick Skittles Challenge #41 | Valentine's Day

Hello and welcome to the DoubleClick Skittles Challenge!

This is week #41 and the theme is Valentine's Day or use a Heart. I have two cards to show you today!

I used stamps and dies from Concord & 9th called By Your Side.

I used copics to color in the birds, and the branch. The heart is felt and the sentiment is gold embossed. These birds come as a die only, but it has matching sentiment stamps.
I used the Gold skittle dew drops on this card.

On the card, this was the remainder of the bird die cut, like its out line. I ran the two pieces through my Xyron then I pieced them together. I really love how this turned out! Again I used a felt heart. And used the Frosty clear dew drops on this one to match.
This card is a 3 x 4 from a piece of scrap cardstock.
I am not happy about the photos, seems to be too much light today.

Supplies Used:
Gold and Frosty Skittle Dew Drops
American Crafts, Neenah, and MFT cardstock
Concord & 9th die and stamps
Xyron create a sticker
Beacon Zip Dry Glue
Red felt from Amuse Studio
American Crafts Zing! Gold Metallic Embossing Powder

DoubleClick Skittles Challenge #40 | Anything Goes

Welcome to week #40 for the DoubleClick Skittles Challenge!

This weeks challenge is Anything Goes!

This past weekend we through a party for my granddaughter who made three! Now this party was a circus theme, and I swear I felt like it was circus at my house! So many people came to wish her a happy birthday! If your follow me on IG (Lori Uren) you will see pictures I've posted last week making her decorations for her party. Went shopping for her, and what did I do, I didn't buy any wrapping paper for her gift. So that really prompted what I made this week for the challenge.
I had to look through my things and I found a pretty gift bag. It didn't match the circus theme, but really who cares.

I matched the colors of the bag to make a gift tag. The bag was a paisley, but I went with a heart.
I created a spinner heart tag, my first one. And as a tag I still couldn't write on it. I thought it was too pretty for that. And when I added that Pink Sherbet skittle, it really came together.

See how the skittle catches the light!
Love it!

Here is my beautiful three year old granddaughter in her circus outfit!
I'm very bias when it comes to this sweetie!

And here we are together, that was the only moment I believe we sat still that day!

That's my project this week, I hope you liked it!

DoubleClick Skittles Challenge week #39 | House Plant Appreciation Day

Hello everyone, 2016 wow! Seems crazy, I thought we going to have flying cars by now, lol. Oh well, i think i would rather be on the ground for the most part.

This week our challenge at DoubleClick Skittles Challenge is
House Plant Appreciation. Which means our project can consist of flowers, plants, or trees, along with our Skittles Dew Drops.

This week I went a little crazy and watercolored my card. With all the stamps in my collection, I just felt like having that brush in my hand. There is no pencil drawing or tracing, just me distress inks, and mft inks. I loved the way it turned out.

That is until I had to trim it to make the card.

Adding ribbon and the skittles helped a lot. But I had to get a second opinion. It grew on me I suppose.
I used the Gold skittles to match the gold pen I used on this piece to decorate, and I used a white gelly roll pen. I had ribbon from 3 Girl Jam and cardstock from MFT that all tied in together.

The sentiment is from Mint Owl Studio, just work perfectly.

Well, that's my card for this week's challenge. Hop on over and join us to see what everyone has created, and remember there is always a prize to win!

Add your project to the link, use your Skittles, or if you do not have Skittles, you can still play along! It's really fun!

DoubleClick Skittles Challenge Week #2 | Something New

Hi everyone!
2016 is almost here! Happy New Year!
So, do you make resolutions or not for the New Year?
I try to, but it doesn't seem to stick. So this year I will set small reasonable goals that are more attainable for me. I want to be better at what I love to do, and that is art, creativity, designing, and blogging. So those seem attainable for 2016, and I won't know until I begin with more practicing!

So enough about that!
Today the theme at the DoubleClick Skittle Challenge is Something New.  We are in week two, and it's a fun theme. Last week I was waiting on new stamps to arrive and they finally did!

One of my new stamp sets came from Gerda Steiner Designs, and this is the Hello Spring set. I had so much fun putting this card together!

I used pigment inks for blending, the grass, sky, and the sun. I colored the hen with copics, and the rest with Tombow markers. A little masking involved, but I love it!

To accent this card I used the banana skittles from DoubleClick Connections, and a couple of matching sequins. I used Neenah solar white cardstock for the panel. The card base is actually from Paper Studios I found at Hobby Lobby. I thought I was buying 100 envelopes for $9.99, turns out it was 50 card bases and 50 white envelopes. Ok, I never used pre-cut cards before, so that was easy!

I know it's early for Spring cards, but it was fun. I hope you like it.

DoubleClick Skittles Challenge #38 | Something New

Welcome to week #38 of the

This week the theme is Something New!

I have been waiting for my new stamp set to come for this week's project, but it hasn't made it here. But I have new chalk inks to share from Brutus Monroe that I have been wanting to try. The main thing with these chalks are, you must use good quality paper!
The inks really work nice on the Neenah Solar White cardstock and the X-Press It Blending Card, which has a smooth shiny feel.

For my card I went with the Neenah cardstock. I used the colors Phonebook, Cabbage, Aubergine, and Oz for the little envelopes.
I used the Oz and watercolored the coffee mug, and finished the coloring with Tombow markers. The sentiment was stamped with Versa Fine Black Onyx, heart it!

To accent the card I used three of the Gift Gold Skittles, which looks to match well. And so I must give credit where credit is due. I watched Dana Joy make a very similar card on Periscope and I thought it would be nice to make a card as well for our mail carrier.

I also decorated the envelope she will be receiving her card in with a stamp sentiment, baker's twine, and Red Rudolf Skittles.
Inside of the card I wrote her a note and there is a gift card to Starbuck's. I hope she loves it!

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
Hop on over to the Challenge, and see what the DT has created this week! Always something nice!

DoubleClick Skittles Challenge Week 2 | Snowman

Hello everyone we are in week 2 of the DoubleClick Skittles Challenge Snowman!
This has really been a fun challenge, everyone has the cutest snowman projects.
Don't you just love a good snowman? I know I do!

This week I made some Snowman Christmas Tags. Again I used the turquoise background with red in the design, love that color combo!

I cut these tags, snow hill and the snowmen out with my cuttlebug.

I used tombow markers to color the Santa hat and carrot nose, then I fussy cut it out. The snowflake was cut with my Cricut Explore,

The Frosty Skittles I used on each snowflake and one on the snow. The Frosty skittles were such a perfect complement to the tags. The red and white ribbon was in my stash, and I had just enough for my tags. I took my white Uni-ball Signo marker and made some lines in the snow to give it texture. I used this same little technique last week on my snowman card, you can view that HERE.

DoubleClick Skittles Challenge #37 | Snowman

Hi and welcome to week #37 of the DoubleClick Skittles Challenge

How are y'all loving the new Skittle colors? They are so pretty!
This week the theme is Snowman, so of course I want to use the holiday release colors!

I used the Rudolf Red. I love red with a sort of turquoise in the background, I think those two colors complement each other well.
On the snow hill, I used my white uni-ball Signo marker and drew lines in the snow to give it a texture, the two white's are bit different in brightness. Not sure if you can see it on the screen.

Here are the New Release Colors:

DoubleClick Skittles Challenge Week 2 of #36| Blue and White or Christmas| Less is More

Good Morning!
It's the second week of the DoubleClick Skittles Challenge, theme Blue and White or Christmas!

For this years Christmas card giving to family and friends, I decided to go with the less is more kind of card. And I have totally enjoyed making these cards. Even my husband loves them because of the deer, he loves to hunt!

I cut them out with a tag die. Heat embossed the deer antlers and NOEL in Gold embossing power. It was so fun! Tied gold ribbon on top. I placed a piece of dimensional tape under the tag and place it on my star panel.

Lastly I used one of the new Skittle dew drop colors Gift Gold. It went so well with this card.
