Whimsy Stamps June Mini Release

Happy Monday Crafty Friends!

Today Whimsy Stamps has another fun mini release! And today I'll be showing you two new products, the Burst Background Rubber Stamp and the Super Dogs Clear Stamp Set! So fun! You can check out the rest of the new mini release HERE!

Check out the design teams inspiration!

My two cards below are both A2 sized top folding cards and basically created the same way.

The first card is the Super Dog card. I watercolored a rainbow on watercolor paper a few days before I made the card. Since it had ample time to dry I thought this would make a great card panel. I die cut the watercolored panel with the Wonky Stitched Rectangle Die then heat embossed the Burst Background stamp in white embossing powder and adhered it to the card panel using liquid glue. I die cut two clouds from the previously released Comic Burst A2 Die and a speech bubble from the Speech Bubble Die Set, then adhered everything to the card panel. The sentiments are from the Super Dog stamp set.

For my second card I die cut the card panel with the Wonky Stitched Rectangle die and then white heat embossed the Burst Background stamp on to it. I ink blended over the embossing with Picked Raspberry and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxides. The combination of the two inks created an orange which you can barely see. Then I adhered the panel to the cardbase with liquid glue. Just like the first card I die two clouds from the Comic Burst die. I used a butterfly from the Butterflies Clear Stamp stamp set and the sentiment from the Layered Peruvian Lily Clear Stamp. Then I adhered everything to the card panel.

I finished the cards by adding white highlights, shimmer, and clear acrylic bubbles. I love the way these cards came out and I especially love the backgrounds. The Burst Background Stamp will be fun to use on future projects.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and have a great week!

There's Gnome ONE like YOU! | Whimsy Stamps

Hello Crafty Friends!

Today's card is a scene card using the Gnome Matter What clear stamp set and the sentiment is from the Gnomies! I created this a couple of months ago and I thought I'd share today.

I love that gnomes are trending right now, so I really enjoyed creating this card. I used just this gnome and the the frogs from the stamp set.

I stamped the gnome first and masked him off with masking paper then I stamped the frogs. I stamped them on 80# Neenah Solar White cardstock using a Copic safe black ink. I colored the stamped images first with Copic markers.

So for the background I used Copic markers to create the ground and tree. I used light shades of Copic E markers. For the tree trunk I used darker Copic E markers. This was pretty easy to create. For the leaves on the tree I used green Copics in YG67, YG17, YG23, and YG03. I think I kind of got carried away creating the leaves, but I still really like it.

I die cut the panel with the Wonky Stitched Rectangle Die and adhered it to the card base with liquid glue onto a top folding A2 sized top folding card base.

To finish the card I added white highlights with a white Gelly Roll pen. I didn't add anything else to the card because I felt it was enough.

That's my card for today, I hope you like it as much as I do!

Gossip Girls Slimline Cards | Whimsy Stamps June Mini Release

Happy Friday Crafty Friends!

Today I have two slimline cards featuring the brand new Filmstrip Slimline Die and the new Gossip Girls stamp set and coordinating dies!

Both of my slimline card bases are 8 1/2 x 3 1/2, this is the size I always use. Some crafters use different measurements, but that's totally up to you what size you prefer, I just prefer this size because I know it fits perfectly in a #10 business envelope.

For my first card here I only used the lips/mouth from the Gossip Girls stamp set along with the new 6x6 Cosmic paper pack. After creating my slimline card base I die cut the Filmstrip die with 100 lb. cardstock. It's hard to see the details of the die on this card because of the white on white. I used the filmstip die again to cut the Cosmic paper, and adhered all of these die cuts to my card base using liquid glue.
Next I stamped the mouth three times on 80 lb. Neenah Solar white cardstock using Copic safe black ink. After coloring the images I die cut them out with the coordinating dies.
I used the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Adopt Don't Shop Dogs clear stamp set and white heat embossed it onto black cardstock and used my paper trimmer to create a label.

And to complete the card I added shimmer, white highlights with a Gelly Roll pen, and matching enamel dots.

For my second slimline card I die cut the Fimstrip die twice from black cardstock. I used the negative center squares from the first card to stamp my images. I adhered the first filmstrip to the card base with liquid glue. For the second strip I use Scor-tape and adhered it on top of the other. I saved the black and white tiny squares that pop out and adhered those back in place on the strip. Black, white, black, white, etc.

Then the white squares I kept, I stamped the Gossip Girls and one of the sentiments in blue and the mouth in black along with the other two sentiments. I used a very like pink Copic marker to add a little color. I then masked the images with masking tape. I used the little dots from the Twinkle Stencil to add some interest to the background with Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide. I also ink blended around the edges and used liquid glue to adhere them in place.

To complete this card I added shimmer to the colored areas, white highlights with a Gelly Roll pen, and silver star sequins.

And that completes my cards for today!

Gossip Girls Pop Art | June Mini Release | Whimsy Stamps

Happy Monday Everyone!

Today is release day for Whimsy Stamps with a new mini release you're sure to enjoy!

Check out the design team inspiration!

For my card today I used the new stamp set Gossip Girls along with a new 6x6 paper pad called Cosmic and the Wonky Window 3 die!

This is such a fun stamp to color!
I stamped the images using a Copic safe ink onto Neenah #80 lb cardstock. I copic colored the images and then die cut them out with the coordinating dies.

I used the Wonky Window 3 die twice, once with black cardstock and then the new pattern paper. I adhered the Wonky Window die frame to a top folding card base with liquid glue, then adhered the negative pieces from the pattern paper in each frame also using liquid glue.

Then I adhered each girl with liquid glue. For the sentiment I stamped it on a cloud die which came from the new Comic Burst die. I die cut it three times, glued together for just a little dimension and added it in the center.

To finish the card I added white highlights with a Gelly Roll pen and epoxy stars.

That's my card for today, be sure to head over to the Whimsy Blog to see the full release!

Thank you for stopping by and have a great week!

Whimsy Stamps May Mini Release | Menopause

Hello Crafty Friends!

Whimsy Stamps has a new Mini Release that's available now! Click HERE to shop the new release!

Check out the Design Team inspiration below!

Today I have two cards to share using the new Menopause stamp set and the new WTF? and UGH! dies!

Both cards I'm featuring today are A2 size top folding on #100 cardstock. I colored my images with Copic markers on #80 Neenah Solar White cardstock.

This stamp set is so hilarious! I really loved coloring the thermometer in different colors relating to the caption next to it! There are so many fun sentiments that come in this stamp set.

Another fun aspect are the WTF? and UGH! dies. They both work so well with this stamp set and many others that Whimsy Stamps carries, as per the design team cards. They really used them well with other stamp sets too!

Another fun aspect of these new dies are that they have a shadow die to go along with it, I love that with word dies! Also the letters are made to overlap each other, LOVE! I've never seen a word die like this before. If you look closely at my card you can see I used foam tape to pop up the T and the exclamation mark. This gave it some dimension, I think it looks great popped up.

I left my other card blank on the inside, but wanted to incorporate the UGH! die. So I placed it on the inside of this card with a sentiment from the stamp set and also stamped the lady, then used a pink Copic marker to add just a little color.

To finished my cards I used a white Gelly Roll pen for high lights and and faux stitching on the word dies. On the second card I also used a Star Dust Glitter Gel pen on her flip flops and sweat.

And that's my cards for today, I hope you liked them! I think they were so fun to create!

May Mini Release | Kitty Cat Extras Die Set | Whimsy Stamps

Hello Crafty Friends!

Whimsy Stamps has another mini release that's available now!

Check out the design team inspiration below!

Don't you just love it!

Today I have two cards to share! I'll be using the fish bowl from the new Kitty Cat Extras Die Set along with some previously released dies and stamps!

My cards are both A2 sized top folding using #100 white cardstock. The card panels are both stamped in a peach color ink using the Criss Cross Gingham Background Rubber Stamp and the largest die from the Rounded Rectangles Die Set and adhered to the card base using liquid glue.

I then die cut two of the fish bowls to stamp my images in using black Copic safe ink because I colored everything with Copic markers. I stamped the fish from the Best Fishes stamp set, on the right then used masking paper to masked her off. Then I stamped the fish on the left and masked him off along with some bubbles. I wanted the fish in the foreground. I then stamped the seaweed and the ocean floor from the Mermaid Escape stamp set, then removed the masks. So basically I'm creating a small ocean in a fish bowl.

After coloring I stamped the sentiment You & Me from the Goth Doll Girl stamp set. I added shimmer with a Nuvo Shimmer pen, white highlights with a Gelly Roll pen, acrylic bubbles and Glossy Accents to their eyes and the stamped bubbles.

For this card I created it basically the same way, using the same stamp sets and fish bowl die. I stamped my images with Copic safe ink and masked off one of the sea weeds. I removed the mask and colored all the images with my Copic markers. I added shimmer, Glossy accents, white highlights, and acrylic bubbles. The only difference is the sentiment. I heat embossed the sentiment Birthday Fishes! from the Best Fishes stamp set on a black strip and popped it up with foam tape.

And that completes my cards for today, I hope you like them!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Have a great day!

New Mini Release | Wrinkles | Whimsy Stamps

Hello Crafty Friends!

Whimsy Stamps has a new mini release this week! Remember Wrinkles from Paper Door? Well he's back along with a fun new paper pack, a puppy paws die set and a paws and bones border die set! And I can't be more excited, the new release is so fun and so adorable!

Here's a look at the design teams creations!

I have two cards today, one is a shaker card and one is a rainbow card!

My shaker card is a top folding A2 size. I used the Wrinkles stamp set and colored him with Copic markers with E44, E43, E43, E41, R17, B07, B05, B00, and R83. I used the new Woof paper pack for the card panel and die cut it out with the Wonky Stitched Rectangle Diethe new Puppy Paws die set for the shaker part and sentiment. I stacked three layers of the paw prints and acetate on fun foam, added sequins and used pink cardstock for the bottom layer. I die cut the sentiment with the same pink cardstock, and adhered Wrinkles to the bottom left of the card.

I completed my card by adding white highlights with a Gelly Roll pen, shimmer with a Nuvo Shimmer pen, and Sprinklez Sweethearts embellishments.

My second card is also a top folding A2 sized card. I used the smaller puppy paw prints from the new Puppy Paws Die Set. I die cut them in rainbow colors and stacked them for dimension. I added little bones and hearts also from the new die set. I die cut the larger bone for Wrinkles to look like his head was popping up from behind it. For the sentiment I used the Hugs die from the new release.

To complete the card I used Copic markers E41 and E40 on the bones and white highlights on Wrinkles and the sentiment.

And these are my cards for today!
You can find the new release HERE.
