Hello everyone!
I hope you're all doing well and are busy crafting during this pandemic that's keeping us all homebound. I'm happy to have crafting as my outlet, especially during this stressful time. And I can't believe Easter is Sunday and my seventh wedding anniversary is also Sunday! We'll definitely be staying in, but we don't mind at all.
Now to my card. Like I said I can't believe Sunday is Easter, and I frantically gathered Easter cards I've made and mailed them today! But my card below and a few others will get mailed tomorrow. This one and the others will be for my grandchildren.
For the April release, Whimsy Stamps came out with a Nested Pierced Egg Die that I couldn't wait to use! I've use that today along with the new 6x6 paper pack Eggtra Bunnies and the previously released Easter stamp set Hoppy Easter!
I began my card by stamping the images with black Copic safe ink onto #80 Neenah Solar White cardstock. I colored the images with Copic markers and use the coordinating dies to die cut them out. I die cut the largest egg from the Nested Pierced Egg die also with Neenah Solar White cardstock.
For the egg I used distress oxides and post it making tape to create a rainbow. I die cut a piece of fun foam with the same egg die to place behind the rainbow egg to give it dimension. Then die cut one of the paper patterns from the Eggtra Bunnies paper pack with a rectangle die from my stash and used liquid glue to adhere it to a lavender A2 sized top folding card base. I adhered the rainbow egg with Scor Tape and centered it on my card, then used liquid glue to adhere the bunny, egg and sentiment Hoppy Easter which I heat embossed.
To finish the card I added white highlights to the colored images, iridescent bubbles, and jelly bean enamel shapes around the card.
I love the way this card turned out, and I especially love the rainbow egg!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
