Special Mini Release | Whimsy Stamps

Hello Crafty Friends!

Whimsy Stamps has a special mini release that's available now! This release is so beautiful and I know you will love it!

 Mini Release

For my card today I'm using the new Poppy Flower Diethe new Fabulous Florals Pattern Paper along with the Envelope Edger Die Set from a previous release. I just love the way this card came out!

I started my card by die cutting the poppy and the leaves from colored cardstocks and the Envelope Edger Die with white cardstock. I die cut the pattern paper with the largest die from the Wonky Stitched Rectangle Die and adhered it with liquid glue to a A2 sized white card base, then adhered the Envelope Edger die cut on top.

Before adhering the poppy and leaves, I felt like they were to plain. I used Copic markers R81, R83, and R85 and darkened the centers of the flower and edges of the petals creating texture and dimension. Plus I thought it was much prettier colored.

I adhered the leaves flat to the pattern paper with liquid glue. then added liquid glue to the back center of each of the three poppy die cuts and placed one on top of the other then on to the leaves. Again I decided something more was needed. So I carefully added foam squares behind each petal to add dimension. It wasn't too hard, but easier if done beforehand. I stamped the sentiment Get Well Soon from the stamp set in a pink ink that coordinated with the poppy and pattern paper, and popped the sentiment up with foam squares on the card.

To finish the card I added a white pearl in the center of the poppy and two more around the card.

And that complete's my card for today! I'll have more cards with this mini release coming soon.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
