Have a Very Merry Christmas

Hello everyone! I finally got around to making a card with the Beary Merry stamp set from Neat and Tangled. This stamp set came out last year, but I didn't have it and just recently purchased it along with some of their new release. Also cute!

I knew I wanted to create a snowy Winter scene, my favorite, because we just really do not get snow in the South. I used Twinkling H2O watercolors to create the background on 110 lb. Neenah Solar white cardstock. The Twinkling H20's are a shiny watercolor, which is really beautiful. I put the watercolor on a large acrylic block and added some water. Then I started just dabbing or smooching my paper into the watercolor. Heat set and repeat until I achieved the look I was going for. Honestly I wanted to use less watercolor, but I just couldn't stop, It was so fun!
By now my paper is really warped from all the water and heat. So, I knew I was going to use an embossing folder as well for the background, and that really did the trick, flattened the card or evened it out. So happy with the look. So I trimmed the sides down a bit and glued it to my card base. Which by the way is an A2 size 4.25 x 5.5 side folding card from 110 lb. Neenah Solar White.
Next I used a slope die from Amuse Studio to make a snow slope for the bear and his friends to sit on.
I stamped the sentiment on the snow slope and starting putting the rest of my card together.
I didn't buy the coordinating dies to this set because I have a Brother Scan n Cut. But with the bear die from Neat and Tangled it cuts around his hands so he can hold any one of the accessories that comes with the stamp. I simply used my X-acto knife to achieve the same thing. Isn't that cute though?
I colored my critters with copic markers, and paper pieced the bears scarf. The trees in the background are dies from Impression Obsession, I colored those with copics as well. Very handy little dies to have in your craft stash! I added white dots in the background for snow with my Uniball Signo pen and added sequins to finish off the card.

I hope you like my card today and thanks for stopping by!
